Barn Drift

Barn Drift is a coastal event venue on private farmland near Cley-next-the-Sea, offering organisers a choice of welcoming indoor and outdoor spaces for intimate gatherings. Its historic barn house sleeps up to 16 guests and provides a comfortable base for wedding weekends, family celebrations, creative retreats and corporate off-sites. Gardens and grounds give guests room to gather outside, enjoy drinks or make use of a marquee.

For events needing extra space, The Hangar can be booked alongside the house. This open-plan, characterful building measures 9 by 12 metres and sits beside woodland and a lawn, with views across the surrounding coastal landscape. It can be used for long-table meals, dancing, talks, workshops, meetings, exhibitions and wellbeing sessions. Practical facilities include trestle tables, an electric Aga, a sink, a toilet and Wi-Fi. The Hangar is on one level and has accessible facilities.

Barn Drift is licensed for wedding ceremonies, which can take place indoors or in the grounds. Couples and other organisers can choose their own caterers, florists, photographers and other suppliers, with local recommendations available if wanted. The venue can also accommodate celebrations, retreats and team gatherings, and camping can be arranged for larger events. Shepherd’s hut toilets and showers serve the camping area near The Hangar. The venue is offered as a flexible setting rather than a fixed event package, so organisers can shape the occasion around their guests and plans. Amplified music is permitted until midnight.
