The North Church Venue

Set in downtown Muncie, The North Church Venue offers event organisers a distinctive historic setting for weddings and a range of other gatherings. The building began life as First Christian Church in 1902 and has since been restored as a family-run venue, retaining original details such as its stained glass while incorporating carefully repurposed materials and contemporary touches.

The main event floor provides nearly 4,000 square feet for guests, tables and seating, with capacity for up to 170 people. A stage, distinctive architectural features and an outdoor garden give organisers several settings to shape the atmosphere of their event and create memorable photographs. The venue is available for wedding ceremonies and receptions, including separate bookings for ceremony-only or reception-only celebrations. Elopements are also catered for.

Beyond weddings, the space can be booked for corporate events, birthday and anniversary parties, showers, holiday gatherings, styled shoots and celebrations of life. Small-event bookings are offered by the hour, with different minimum booking periods depending on the day. Venue provisions include tables and chairs, on-site staff during events, access to a partial kitchen, heating and air conditioning, and a gated car park. Wedding parties can use separate bridal and groom’s suites, and an outdoor garden is available as part of the venue facilities.

Organisers may bring in licensed and insured caterers, while bar service is provided through the venue. The team also offers a pre-event planning consultation and can point clients towards local suppliers. Tours and reservations can be arranged directly with the venue.
