The Shuford House and Gardens

The Shuford House & Gardens is a historic venue in Hickory’s Oakwood district, available to rent for weddings, receptions, private celebrations and business meetings. Built in 1904, the house brings period character to gatherings, while its adjoining gardens offer an outdoor setting with a fountain, pergola and space for larger groups. The house is rated for events of up to 115 people, and the gardens can accommodate hundreds, making the property suitable for both intimate occasions and larger outdoor celebrations.

Couples can choose wedding packages that include access to the house and surrounding gardens over part or all of a weekend. For other occasions, the house is also offered as a standalone rental. Included furnishings vary by package and can include padded chairs, chair covers, tables, sofas, benches and armchairs. A venue supervisor is provided as part of the rental. Showings are arranged by appointment, so organisers can get in touch to discuss dates and view the property.

Organisers may bring in their own food and drink or work with a caterer of their choice.
