YMa

YMa is a community arts and culture venue in the centre of Pontypridd, offering a varied selection of spaces for organisers planning meetings, conferences, performances, workshops, training sessions, weddings, celebrations and creative events. The venue combines the character of a historic YMCA building with practical facilities for modern event use.

Shelley Hall is the main large-format space, designed for conferences, training days, major meetings, weddings and other gatherings. It has a sprung dance floor and can accommodate up to 120 guests. Moondance Studio provides a more theatrical setting, with professional performance facilities, retractable seating for up to 150 people, a sprung floor, ballet barre, mirrors and lighting infrastructure. The studio can be arranged for performances, rehearsals, dance activities, workshops or conference-style events.

For smaller gatherings, YMa has four equipped meeting and training rooms suitable for presentations, board meetings, courses and remote working. These rooms include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen televisions, projectors, whiteboards and flipcharts, with capacities generally ranging from 15 to 22 people. A creative workshop space is also available for arts activities, practical sessions and informal meetings, while smaller one-to-one rooms offer private working or counselling environments.

Catering and buffet options can be arranged through the on-site café or local providers.
