The Lark

The Lark is a distinctive event venue in the heart of downtown Hastings, Nebraska, offering a warm setting for weddings, private celebrations, business functions, community gatherings and selected cultural events. Set within a restored historic building, the venue combines original architectural character with practical facilities for modern event organisers. Hardwood floors, exposed brick, attractive lighting and a flexible open layout create a welcoming backdrop that can be styled for both intimate occasions and larger celebrations.

The main floor can accommodate up to 200 guests, depending on the chosen layout. Organisers have access to tables and chairs, setup and teardown support, a house sound system for speeches, Bluetooth audio, a digital projector and screen, bar service, and an accessible main floor. A refrigerator and sink are available for external caterers, while the venue team can help with event arrangements and practical coordination. Catering is not provided in-house, allowing organisers to work with a preferred food supplier.

The venue has a dedicated wedding offering, with two-day hire available for setup, decoration, a rehearsal dinner or the main celebration. Couples can also add an upstairs preparation area with kitchenette and ensuite facilities. The space is suited to wedding receptions, small ceremonies, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, anniversaries, graduations, showers, reunions, memorial services and business meetings.

Alongside private hire, The Lark serves as the home of an established listening room concert series. Its stage, acoustics and performance facilities make it suitable for music-led gatherings and selected live events, while its central location provides convenient access to downtown Hastings.
