Pleasant Hill Chapel

Pleasant Hill Chapel is a lovingly restored historic wedding and event venue in Defiance, Missouri, set in the scenic wine country outside St. Louis. Built in 1922, the white chapel combines stained glass windows, period chandeliers, original-style pews, hardwood floors and carefully preserved architectural details with practical facilities for modern celebrations.

The venue welcomes intimate gatherings as well as larger celebrations of up to 125 guests. Couples can book the chapel for a short ceremony or choose a longer package with exclusive use of the chapel and grounds. Reception options are also available, including cake receptions, seated meals, outdoor dining and flexible arrangements for smaller groups. Catering and bartending can be added to selected reception packages, while a nearby brewery provides an option for larger receptions through a venue partnership.

Facilities include a bridal suite with a hair and make-up vanity, a groom’s suite with television and lounge space, a comfortable gathering area, a full kitchen with an island and stainless-steel appliances, on-site parking and access to chapel pews and décor. A sound system and lapel microphone are available for ceremonies and speeches.
