Kendal Parish Hall

Kendal Parish Hall is a historic, flexible venue in the centre of Kendal, suitable for organisers planning private celebrations, community gatherings, performances, markets, meetings and other small to medium-sized events. Built in 1912 and Grade II listed, the hall combines period character with practical facilities for modern bookings.

The main hall measures approximately 18 metres by 11 metres and can accommodate up to 150 people standing or around 100 seated, depending on the layout and event requirements. It can be hired for parties, music events, markets, business functions, clubs and regular community activities. The venue also offers a smaller meeting room for more intimate sessions, workshops or committee meetings.

Event organisers have access to a well-equipped kitchen, toilets including an accessible toilet with baby changing facilities, free WiFi and step-free access to the main hall, kitchen and toilet areas. A large public car park is located directly outside, although parking charges apply. The upper room is available for additional use, but it is accessed by stairs.

Bookings can be arranged for a minimum of two hours, with availability generally running from 8am until 11pm. Weekend and regular-use bookings are also possible, subject to the venue calendar. Evening events must finish on time and guests are expected to leave quietly, making the hall particularly suitable for considerate celebrations and organised community activities.
