The Century Club of California

The Century Club of California offers a distinctive historic setting for weddings, private celebrations, business gatherings and cultural events in central San Francisco. Established in 1888, the club occupies an elegant Colonial-style clubhouse completed in 1905, with later architectural work by Julia Morgan and striking stained-glass features by Bruce Porter.

Event organisers can choose from several characterful spaces, each suited to a different format. The Julia Morgan Ballroom includes a stage and works well for formal dinners, receptions, dances, concerts, recitals, talks and larger gatherings. The Drawing Room provides a more intimate atmosphere, with wood panelling, a fireplace and comfortable seating for conversation-led occasions. The Dining Room can be arranged for lunches, dinners and other dining-based events, while the Reception Room is suitable for meetings, cocktails and smaller meals.

The venue also has two third-floor meeting rooms equipped with telephone and wireless services, making them useful for board meetings, workshops and small group sessions. Wedding organisers can make use of the dedicated Bride's Room, which includes a private restroom, while the grand staircase, foyers and period interiors create memorable settings for ceremonies, photographs and receptions.

The Century Club can support events with its own experienced catering team, while organisers may also choose to bring an external caterer. Kitchen facilities are available depending on the booking arrangement. The staff assists with viewing appointments, reservations, room selection and event planning, helping organisers match the building's different spaces to their guest numbers and programme.
