Penrose House Conference Center

Penrose House Conference Center is a distinctive meeting venue in Colorado Springs, created from a historic Mediterranean-style estate at the foot of Cheyenne Mountain. Operated by El Pomar Foundation, it provides a range of meeting spaces for eligible Colorado 501(c)(3) nonprofit organisations and government agencies.

The venue is designed for strategic and productive gatherings rather than social celebrations. Organisers can book the property for meetings, retreats, seminars, training sessions, planning days and other mission-focused group activities. Use of the space is provided at no charge for qualifying organisations, subject to availability and the venue’s booking guidelines.

Penrose House combines characterful surroundings with practical facilities for modern organisers. Meeting rooms include presentation screens, webcams, microphones, computers, high-speed internet and free Wi-Fi. The in-house technology supports both in-person and online participation through platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Staff are available to assist with room preparation and basic technical requirements, helping organisers make the most of the facilities.

Complimentary drinks, including coffee, tea, soft drinks, sparkling water and ice water, are provided in the meeting rooms. Organisers may arrange food through approved caterers or use suitable commercially prepared deliveries, subject to the property’s historic-building requirements. The grounds offer ample parking and a memorable setting for teams seeking a thoughtful environment away from a standard office.

Reservations can be requested up to six months ahead, and demand is often high. Penrose House does not accommodate weddings, private functions or fundraisers, making it particularly suited to nonprofit and public-sector organisers planning focused, collaborative events.
