Northern Center & Event Services

Northern Center & Event Services is a versatile conference and event venue located on the campus of Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan. With approximately 25,000 square feet of event space, the facility welcomes organisers planning conferences, meetings, training sessions, banquets, receptions, weddings, galas and other large gatherings.

The venue’s spaces range from smaller meeting and breakout rooms to a substantial Grand Ballroom that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests. Four individual ballrooms can be combined or used separately, while the Peninsula Rooms provide practical settings for workshops, corporate meetings, intimate luncheons and mid-sized banquets. The Scott L. Holman Executive Conference Room offers a more private setting for board meetings and smaller business gatherings, with seating for up to 20 people and integrated technology.

Event organisers can work with the Northern Center’s dedicated events team throughout the planning process. Services include room layouts, on-site event support, integrated audiovisual technology and in-house food and beverage service. The venue’s catering operation provides menus for conferences, receptions, banquets and wedding celebrations, while bar service and other event amenities can be arranged as part of the booking.

Northern Center also has a dedicated wedding offering, with spaces for ceremonies, cocktail hours, receptions, rehearsal dinners and related celebrations.
