Alto Frio Baptist Camp

Alto Frio Baptist Camp is a large retreat and conference venue in the Texas Hill Country, offering organisers a practical setting for church gatherings, youth camps, family retreats, ministry events and private overnight programmes. The site combines accommodation, meeting facilities, dining and recreational areas across an extensive riverside campus.

Groups can choose from hotel-style rooms, private dormitories, traditional dorm accommodation, family cabins and RV or camping facilities. With more than 700 dorm beds and an overall capacity of just over 1,200 guests, the camp can host both smaller retreats and sizeable group programmes. Several accommodation buildings include their own meeting areas and kitchens, which can be useful for groups needing dedicated space.

For larger gatherings, Alto Frio provides conference and worship facilities with stages, sound systems, lighting and screens. North Tabernacle seats up to 500 people, while South Tabernacle can accommodate up to 1,000. The Conference Building offers several separate rooms for breakout sessions, workshops, teaching programmes and smaller meetings.

Organisers can also plan group activities around the Frio River, swimming pool, waterslide, sports courts, recreation fields, gym, gaga ball and axe throwing.
