Oregon Outdoor Education Center

Oregon Outdoor Education Center is a nature-based conference and event venue set across 325 acres in the Eola Hills, just northwest of Salem, Oregon. Formerly known as the Oregon 4-H Center, the site combines flexible event facilities, group accommodation and extensive outdoor space, making it suitable for organisers looking for something more relaxed and distinctive than a conventional conference venue.

Organisers can choose from several indoor spaces, including John Gray Hall, a larger modern facility with a stage, sound system, classroom area, serving kitchen and nearby parking. Greider Lodge offers a more private setting for weddings, family celebrations and corporate retreats, with indoor gathering areas, a commercial kitchen, outdoor deck, modern bathrooms and access to a nearby outdoor chapel.

Overnight accommodation is available in modern cottages, rustic cabins and Cascara House, allowing groups to stay on site and build a complete programme around their event. Depending on the format, the centre can accommodate groups from approximately 20 to 200 guests. Outdoor areas add further possibilities, from woodland gatherings and team activities to ceremonies beside Pagoda Pond or performances and celebrations in the Wildlife Stewards Amphitheater.

The venue supports both day-use and overnight bookings, with catering or self-catering options available depending on the arrangement.
