Beautifully restored building

We attended a funeral with a reception at De Groene Jager yesterday. What a beautiful location! A beautifully restored building. Everything was perfectly in order and taken care of. Beautiful garden with a nicely maintained terrace. Friendly service; even when we stayed too long, they were polite and patient, for which we are grateful. We had the package where you can sit at tables. There was a lavish sandwich buffet with more than enough fresh rolls, pastries, crispy fresh croissants, and chocolate rolls. There was an abundance of charcuterie. Thank you for the lovely experience.

Very substandard for a so-called class business

We do NOT recommend it but it will automatically jump when posting.
Horrible experience, the terrace was completely run down, broken glass on the floor from a previous party, my daughter fell through a rotten wooden bench (she weighs 45kg…) and the staff thought this was funny too, umbrellas where the metal is coming out of the fabric peaked, we closed ourselves, all weeds that come through the joints and our snacks? They were casually “forgotten” during the aperitif! A tree had fallen on the terrace and adjacent building, this can of course happen, but to hang a flapping black tarp?! This could be closed nicely with wood. To top it all off, my 14 year old daughter's mobile phone was stolen during the evening party and all the flowers, including my bridal bouquet, confirmed by the owner to be in custody the next day, were gone! We got compensation that was minimal. The same thing happened to acquaintances of ours the week before, all the flowers gone! This case is in our humble opinion faded glory!
