Sustainable exhibition stand construction: what happens to an exhibition stand after the exhibition?

An exhibition often lasts just a few days, but at Eldee we design stands that last much longer. Sustainability is not a separate theme for us, but part of every conversation, from the initial enquiry to the long term.

After an exhibition, we inspect, repair and store components in our warehouse in Tricht. We recycle materials that have genuinely reached the end of their useful life, such as worn-out printed fabrics or damaged wood, as much as possible instead of throwing them away.

Our modular stands in particular show how circular stand construction works in practice: aluminium frames and walls that can easily be reused, even in a different configuration. This means less repeated production and less material consumption per exhibition participation.

We also look for the most sustainable solution when it comes to logistics: by combining journeys and storage intelligently, we limit unnecessary transport movements, both in the Netherlands and on international projects.

Our sustainability policy is closely linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We focus specifically on SDG 12 (responsible consumption and production), SDG 13 (climate action) and SDG 17 (partnerships). We map our CO2 emissions in accordance with the GHG Protocol, and our own solar panels generate energy that we store in batteries for use within our company.

Sustainability does not have to mean compromising on appearance. At Eldee, we look for the best of both: an exhibition stand that stands out on the show floor, and is ready for another life afterwards.
