After hundreds of wedding reports as a photographer and wedding planner, Fredrik discovered the same thing time and again.
Years later, no one remembered which dessert was served or how many flowers were on the table. During our many travels through Asia, Africa, South America, and the Caribbean, we discovered time and again how differently people celebrate together there.
What really stays with people is the atmosphere of authenticity. The warmth. The freedom. The moments when everyone forgot there was a schedule. Those are the moments when the most beautiful stories are born.
De Letterhoeve grew out of that idea.
Not as a classic banquet hall, but as a warm wedding venue where a wedding can feel like a mini-vacation.

For more than twenty years, a botanical garden grew here, slowly taking shape through everything that inspired us along the way. Not a staged backdrop, but a garden built up year after year, with plants, trees, flavors, and ideas that we brought home with us.

A garden party, but not dependent on a single garden
You might be wondering whether a garden party in Belgium isn't too dependent on the weather.
We have thought about that from the beginning as well.
On the hottest summer days, it is often surprisingly cool here. And even a few drops won't spoil your dream. The atmospheric party barns, the large open kitchen, and the tropical veranda ensure that the same relaxed holiday atmosphere is maintained, whether the sun is shining brightly or a summer shower passes by.

Deliberately small, warm and personal
We deliberately organize only ten wedding parties per year.
Not because we want to be exclusive.
But because we believe that a wedding day shouldn't be a standard formula. Thanks to our years of experience, we take as many worries off your hands as possible, so that you can simply look forward to one of the most beautiful days of your lives.
Perhaps that is why De Letterhoeve is not a wedding venue like so many others.
