Van Ham Tenten & Podia presents the BLUE HORIZON at Intents Festival: the new standard in festival tents!
During Intents Festival 2025, the brand new festival tent by Van Ham Tenten & Podia was presented for the first time. And that did not go unnoticed: this giant is 50 meters wide, 130 meters long and no less than 25 meters high. With a rigging capacity of 120 tons, it is one of the most heavily equipped tent constructions of the moment.
Intents Festival, with tens of thousands of visitors, ten stages and more than 400 artists, turned out to be the perfect place for the introduction. The tent functioned as the central eye-catcher of one of the areas. The choice for Intents was logical, Van Ham Tenten & Podia has been closely involved with the event for years and provides almost all stages and layher constructions annually, including the impressive Mainstage.
A festival tent without compromises
“With the BLUE HORIZON we want to build for the future,” says owner Martijn van de Broek. “A tent that is not only strong and robust, but also suitable for the complexity of modern shows. Think of even larger and heavier LED installations, advanced sound and a large decor. All of that in a sleek design, in the recognizable blue and yellow house style of our company.''
The tent is fully modular, can be expanded to 130 metres in 20-metre increments, and has a clear span of 20 metres and a minimum clearance of 17.5 m. This offers plenty of space and flexibility for technicians and set builders. It is also sturdy enough to withstand wind force ten.
Two growth partners in the festival world
The collaboration between Van Ham and Intents goes back to the early days. In 2003, the festival started with a tent of 20 by 40 meters and 850 visitors. Tijdens Intents Festival 2025 werd de gloednieuwe festivaltent van Van Ham Tenten & Podia voor het eerst gepresenteerd. En dat bleef niet onopgemerkt: deze gigant is 50 meter breed, 130 meter lang en maar liefst 25 meter hoog. Met een riggingcapaciteit van 120 ton behoort hij tot de zwaarst uitgeruste tentconstructies van het moment.
Intents Festival, met tienduizenden bezoekers, tien podia en meer dan 400 artiesten, bleek de perfecte plek voor de introductie. De tent fungeerde als centrale blikvanger van één van de area’s. De keuze voor Intents was logisch, Van Ham Tenten & Podia is al jaren nauw betrokken bij het evenement en verzorgt er jaarlijks nagenoeg alle podia en layher-constructies, waaronder de imposante Mainstage.
Een festivaltent zonder concessies
“Met de BLUE HORIZON willen we bouwen aan de toekomst,” vertelt eigenaar Martijn van de Broek. “Een tent die niet alleen sterk en robuust is, maar ook geschikt voor de complexiteit van moderne shows. Denk aan nog grotere en zwaardere LED-installaties, geavanceerd geluid en een groot decor. Dat alles in een strak design, in de herkenbare blauw, gele huisstijl van ons bedrijf.’’
De tent is volledig modulair, per 20 meter uit te bereiden tot 130 meter, en heeft een vrije overspanning van 20 meter en een minimale clearance van 17.5 m. Daardoor biedt hij volop ruimte en flexibiliteit voor technici en decorbouwers. Daarbij staat hij stevig genoeg om windkracht tien te trotseren.
Twee groeipartners in de festivalwereld
De samenwerking tussen Van Ham en Intents gaat terug tot de begindagen. In 2003 begon het festival met een tent van 20 bij 40 meter en 850 bezoekers. Inmiddels zijn beide namen niet meer weg te denken uit het festivallandschap. ‘’Het voelt als een mooie samenloop dat juist Intents Festival als eerste gebruik wilde maken van ons nieuwste paradepaardje.’’ Aldus Martijn van de Broek
Naast de BLUE HORIZON verzorgde Van Ham Tenten & Podia dit jaar opnieuw meerdere podia en area’s op het terrein, een bevestiging van het wederzijdse vertrouwen dat in twintig jaar is opgebouwd.

De BLUE HORIZON is geen standaardtent, maar een constructie van eigen ontwerp en productie. Met deze introductie onderstreept Van Ham Tenten & Podia dat er in Nederland nog altijd ruimte is voor technische innovatie en lef in de evenementenbranche.
