We offer thematic Private tours in Ghent & Bruges that are available 7/7, such as the True or False Tour, the Chocolate Tour and the Highlights Tour. The ideal activity to do with friends, colleagues, family or just on your own. On Fridays and during the weekends you can also join our Small Group Tours in Ghent, with individual registration.
Charlie was founded in 2013 as a typical Ghent café - restoBAR Charlie - on the Patershol, the oldest district of Ghent.
Gentenaar & co-founder Nick Vandecasteele served the tap with great enthusiasm for years and enjoyed a nightlife full of fun & rock 'n roll . He shared his passion for his city and its rich history behind the counter with regulars and tourists every day, always in an entertaining way! A side income as a Ghent city guide was, as it were, written in the stars. And so it happened. But it didn't stop there. At the end of 2017, Nick decided to close restoBAR Charlie for good.
Charlie would henceforth live on as a full-time city guide : Charlie Tours was born! As a proud resident of Ghent, he now considers it an absolute privilege, together with his fantastic team of local guides, to show visitors around his beautiful Ghent in a fun & interactive way!
"Never waste a good crisis" they thought at Charlie Tours during the covid period, because the extra time released was used to start up in that other beautiful medieval city: Bruges !
