Altes Kurhaus Aachen

Kurhausstraße 1, 52058 Aachen, Germany

Alte Kurhaus Aachen rents out two distinctive event spaces in the city centre: the historic Ballsaal and the Klangbrücke. The venue is suitable for event organisers looking for a distinguished setting for private celebrations or business occasions. The Ballsaal hosts weddings, family and company celebrations, banquets, conferences, presentations and concerts.

The 264-square-metre hall combines historic architecture with space for different seating arrangements. With seating in rows, it can accommodate around 300 to 320 people. It is designed for up to 200 guests for a banquet, or up to 160 with a stage or dance floor. Two adjoining function rooms can be used, for example, for a cloakroom, reception or buffet. This allows organisers to plan the schedule and use of the space to suit the occasion.

The Klangbrücke complements the offering as a compact space for music events, talks, theatre and film screenings. It has 191 seats, a dressing room for performers and a bar or counter area. Its distinctive design and acoustics geared towards cultural events make it particularly well suited to stage programmes and presentations.

Both spaces are managed by the Kulturbetrieb der Stadt Aachen and can be requested for events. When planning, organisers should take the different entrances into account: the Ballsaal is accessed via Komphausbadstraße, while the Klangbrücke is accessed via Kurhausstraße. Alte Kurhaus therefore offers both a festive hall for larger celebrations and a dedicated space for seated cultural events and talks.
