Douglass Theatre

Douglass Theatre is a historic Macon venue available for private and corporate events as well as its own year-round programme of films, live music, theatre and community arts. Since opening in 1921, it has held an important place in the city's cultural life. Today, organisers can hire its distinctive spaces for occasions ranging from presentations and private screenings to ceremonies, receptions and celebrations.

The main auditorium seats 315 and is suited to performances, talks, screenings and presentations. It has a 3D-capable screen, sound and lighting equipment, a green room and dressing rooms, with technical staff available. An adjoining 1,500-square-foot annex offers a more flexible setting for banquets, receptions, workshops and parties. It can accommodate up to 100 guests seated or 125 standing, and has a sound system, tables and chairs. A warming kitchen is available for caterers, making the annex practical for events with food service.

With its historic character, performance facilities and adaptable adjoining space, the theatre gives event planners options for both stage-led programmes and more informal gatherings. Rental rates depend on the space and duration, so organisers should contact the venue to discuss availability and requirements. The Douglass Theatre is in downtown Macon, Georgia, and combines a memorable setting with facilities designed to support a range of event formats.
