MS Klostersande is a former grain freighter that now serves as a floating event venue in Elmshorn harbour. The historic ship offers a distinctive setting for private celebrations and smaller gatherings. If you are looking for a place with a maritime atmosphere, you can hire the freighter for your own event and arrange the space to suit your preferences.

Seating and crockery for around 70 people are available for private celebrations. There is also a dishwasher, water and electricity. A stage on board offers the opportunity to provide your own music or a small stage programme. The venue is therefore well suited to family celebrations, birthdays and corporate events where an unusual venue is called for. Wedding ceremonies on the ship are also possible.

The hire is organised by Förderkreis MS Klostersande and is available to association members. Those interested can enquire in advance about available dates and the specific conditions. The ship is moored on the south bank of Elmshorn harbour. When planning, please note that, for structural and tide-related reasons, access is not step-free and can be steep at high tide.
