The Wilkinson Center

The Wilkinson Center is a historic community event venue in Belhaven, North Carolina, with flexible spaces for celebrations, meetings and performances. Organisers can choose from a large grand ballroom or several smaller rooms, making the venue suitable for both substantial gatherings and more intimate occasions.

The grand ballroom can host up to 232 guests at tables or 400 in a chairs-only layout. It includes an elevated stage for speakers, entertainment or performances, and tables and chairs are provided. Smaller options include the Beaufort Room for mid-sized gatherings, an Art Room for meetings and workshops, and a reception room for more intimate social events. Room layouts can be arranged to suit the occasion, and clients may decorate the spaces to their taste.

Weddings are a featured offering, with space for receptions, rehearsal dinners and related celebrations. The venue also welcomes banquets, fundraisers, birthday parties, family reunions, bridal and baby showers, craft shows, exhibitions, plays and concerts. For business and community groups, meeting rooms can be used for company meetings, workshops, clubs and retreats.

Practical facilities include a catering kitchen available for use by organisers or their chosen caterer, along with a movable bar. Sound systems and projectors can also be rented for presentations, auctions and other programme needs. The centre offers room-only and multi-room rental options, with booking enquiries handled directly by the venue. Its location in Belhaven serves organisers in the surrounding Beaufort and Hyde County area.
