Barking Legs Theater

Barking Legs Theater is an intimate performing arts venue in Chattanooga that also welcomes organisers looking for a distinctive place to hold their own event. Its black-box theatre offers a close connection between performers and audience, with fixed seating, strong sightlines and an adaptable layout for different formats. Organisers can also add seating or arrange standing-room events, depending on their plans.

The venue is available for concerts, theatre and dance performances, film screenings, recitals, talks, presentations, meetings and fundraisers. It also hosts private celebrations such as birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and cocktail parties, as well as corporate gatherings and retreats. The theatre is equipped with a stage, sound system, lighting controls and a projector, with basic sound support included in a rental. Additional sound equipment and a Steinway grand piano can be arranged for an extra fee.

For events that need more than an indoor room, organisers can hire the lounge, the landscaped backyard or a combination of spaces. The lounge has movable café tables and chairs, bar areas and facilities that can support catering brought in for an event. Outdoors, a garden setting with a wooden stage and fire pit offers a more relaxed option. A greenroom is available for performers, and the venue provides setup and breakdown time as part of the rental, along with assistance from staff and volunteers.

With its artistic character, flexible spaces and technical facilities, Barking Legs suits planners seeking a smaller-scale venue for live performance, community gatherings or private and business events.
