Whippoorwill Acres, llc

Set among 50 acres of rolling Missouri pasture, Whippoorwill Acres offers a timber-frame barn venue for weddings, receptions and other gatherings. The countryside location is around 25 minutes from Kirksville, Missouri, and Bloomfield, Iowa, making it a regional option for couples and event organisers seeking a rural setting.

The venue provides indoor and outdoor spaces, with several outdoor ceremony locations and an indoor area available in changeable weather. The barn features high vaulted ceilings, timber details and chandeliers. It can accommodate up to 450 guests, and its upper-level seating loft offers a view across the main space. The grounds also provide open scenery and photo opportunities.

Facilities include a bridal suite, a groom's den, a caterer's kitchen, a full-service bar with bartenders, accessible restrooms and a playroom with an outdoor play area for children. Organisers can also make use of the venue's decor collection, and the site has guest parking. Packages offer different booking periods, from weekday celebrations to a full wedding weekend, with access to indoor and outdoor areas. The team supports couples with planning and arrangements in the lead-up to the celebration and on the day itself.

While weddings are a central focus, the barn is also presented as a place for receptions, meetings, corporate events and private parties. Its combination of event space, practical facilities and countryside grounds allows organisers to host a gathering in one rural location, with indoor and outdoor options to suit the occasion.
