Carlowrie Castle

Carlowrie Castle is an exclusive-use event venue in Kirkliston, close to Edinburgh, set within a historic estate with gardens and landscaped grounds. It welcomes couples planning weddings as well as organisers arranging corporate events, private celebrations, product launches and other gatherings.

The castle offers several indoor spaces, including the Orangery, Marble Room, Piano Room and Library Bar. For larger occasions, its glass-fronted marquee provides room for banquets and evening receptions, with capacity depending on the chosen layout. The gardens and grounds can also provide a setting for outdoor ceremonies and receptions. Wedding bookings can include exclusive use of the estate, with rooms for guests to stay overnight.

For corporate organisers, the venue caters for everything from intimate board meetings to larger dinners, receptions and company occasions. Its events team can discuss the format and help tailor the arrangements to the purpose of the gathering. On-site catering is available, with menus prepared by the castle's kitchen team and options shaped around the event.

Carlowrie Castle also has additional accommodation in its stables and Gate House Lodge, offering organisers more options for wedding parties and private group stays. The venue's setting combines period character with contemporary interiors, while its range of rooms and outdoor areas allows different parts of an event to take place in distinct spaces. Organisers can arrange a show round and discuss requirements directly with the team.
