The Barns at Lang Farm

The Barns at Lang Farm is a family-run event venue in Essex Junction, Vermont, set among gardens and open views towards the Green Mountains. Its restored agricultural buildings offer a distinctive setting for weddings, receptions, private celebrations, meetings and other functions.

The Main Barn is a historic post-and-beam space with timber details, a mezzanine and a large deck. Outside, a bluestone patio, gardens and surrounding green areas can be used for ceremonies, drinks receptions or time outdoors. The separate Garden Barn provides another option for smaller gatherings and is described as available throughout the year. The Main Barn operates seasonally, generally from April to October. Capacity depends on the space and layout, with the venue's website describing seating for up to 200 guests overall and additional capacity available by arrangement.

Couples can plan both a ceremony and reception on site, with outdoor ceremony areas and dressing rooms available for wedding use. Tables and chairs are included for specified guest numbers, while additional event equipment can be arranged through rental suppliers. The venue handles bar service in-house. Catering is arranged separately, with a resident caterer at the Garden Barn and other recommended caterers listed for organisers to consider.

Beyond weddings, the barns are available for business meetings, charitable functions and other special events. The venue invites organisers to arrange a personal tour to discuss the spaces and their plans. Its location near Routes 15 and 289 also provides access to Burlington and the surrounding area.
