The Barn at Bennett Flats

The Barn at Bennett Flats is a countryside venue in Heflin, Alabama, set on a 300-acre property beside the Tallapoosa River. Its restored barn offers a distinctive setting for wedding ceremonies and receptions, with indoor and outdoor options and capacity for gatherings of up to 400 guests. Heating and air conditioning help keep the barn comfortable throughout the year.

Wedding packages include use of the venue for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, as well as the wedding day. Tables, chairs, benches, white linens and selected décor are available, with set-up and take-down support. The package also includes a wedding director, a parking attendant and a golf cart. Couples can bring in their own suppliers, and the venue has a preparation area for caterers. Catering is not provided by the venue, and its FAQ states that caterers must remain on site during the reception.

The property also hosts celebrations such as birthday parties, reunions, showers, proms and formal events. For couples who want accommodation close to the celebration, the Barn House is within walking distance and includes bridal and honeymoon suites, a kitchen and space for overnight guests. A separate Groom's Cabin, a short drive away, offers additional bedrooms and shared facilities. Both properties can be rented alongside the barn, making it possible for wedding parties to prepare and stay nearby.

Located near Interstate 20 and within driving distance of hotels in Oxford, the venue offers a rural setting with practical access for guests travelling from the wider Alabama and Georgia area. Organisers can arrange a tour by appointment and enquire about available dates and package options directly with the venue.
