Ancestral Acres Lodge & Barn

Ancestral Acres Lodge & Barn is a countryside wedding venue in Bronson, Southwest Michigan, set across 447 acres of woodland, lawns and ponds. Its restored Queen Anne mansion and bright, renovated barn offer couples a choice of settings for ceremonies, receptions and a full wedding weekend.

The barn provides around 5,000 square feet of event space and can host celebrations for up to 330 guests. Large doors and skylights bring natural light into its white interior, while the enclosed space gives couples an indoor option if the weather changes. Outdoor ceremony locations include lawns, gardens and pond-side settings, with the barn available as a weather backup. Tables, chairs and restroom facilities are included in wedding packages, and the venue welcomes couples who want to choose their own caterers and other suppliers.

For accommodation, the historic mansion has eight bedrooms and can sleep up to 22 guests. It includes shared living and dining areas, a kitchen and a ballroom, making it a convenient base for a wedding party or close family. Weekend packages allow time for Friday set-up and gatherings, the wedding day, and Sunday pack-down, without requiring the celebration to be confined to a few hours.

The property also offers smaller event options, including gatherings in the lodge and events on the grounds. Organisers can enquire about availability, pricing and venue tours directly. With its combination of flexible indoor and outdoor spaces, overnight accommodation and extensive private grounds, Ancestral Acres suits couples planning a relaxed countryside wedding with guests gathered in one location.
