During the winter months, Stichting Valkenswaard On Ice sets up a temporary ice rink on the Markt in Valkenswaard. Visitors can skate, hire skates and take part in activities. For organisers looking for a group outing or a company activity, there is more than just public skating: the foundation offers packages and supervised activities for groups.

One of the group activities is fun curling. Teams play in a tournament format, with instructions, guidance and equipment provided. This makes it suitable for a company outing, a team get-together or an evening with friends. The foundation also organises seasonal activities such as disco skating and other events on and around the ice.

Groups can choose packages that include a welcome in a winter-themed skating hut, access to the ice rink and, if desired, skate hire. Depending on the package chosen, the programme can also include hot drinks, refreshment tokens, soup, sandwiches and savoury snacks. Children's parties have a separate package with squash and the option to arrange food and a treat to round things off. If you have something different in mind, you can ask about a bespoke programme.

The ice rink is a seasonal venue in the centre of Valkenswaard. The foundation maintains an activities calendar so organisers can check in advance which activities and times are available. Groups and businesses can also get in touch to discuss the options and practical arrangements. Valkenswaard On Ice therefore offers an accessible winter group activity for a wide range of ages and occasions.
