The Bushnell Event Center

The Bushnell Event Center is a historic downtown Springfield venue for weddings, corporate functions and personal celebrations. Organisers can hire a single room for a focused gathering or reserve the venue for a larger event, with spaces suited to different styles and guest numbers.

The Governor's Legacy Ballroom provides a spacious setting for wedding receptions, galas, banquets and conferences. The Wren Ceremony Suites offer a more intimate backdrop for ceremonies and smaller occasions, while the Cellar Cocktail Lounge is a relaxed choice for cocktail hours, rehearsal dinners, showers and breakout sessions. The rooms can be arranged for seated dining, ceremonies, networking or dancing, and the venue's historic character can be retained or complemented with event décor and staging.

For weddings, couples can hold several parts of the day in one place, from getting ready and the ceremony to cocktails and the reception. Weekend hire options include time for set-up, a rehearsal and dinner, as well as access to private wedding suites. The venue team works with organisers on layouts and floorplans, and offers planning meetings to help prepare the rooms for the event. Organisers may also ask the team about sourcing audiovisual equipment, arranging a stage or connecting with local vendors.

The centre also welcomes holiday parties, anniversaries, fundraisers, showers, retirement celebrations and business gatherings. Its downtown Springfield location has a dedicated parking lot, nearby garage and street parking. With flexible room hire, planning assistance and several event spaces within one historic building, the Bushnell can accommodate occasions ranging from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations and conferences.
