Lokaal 55

Oude Oppenhuizerweg 55, 8606 JB Sneek, Netherlands

Lokaal 55 is an industrial event venue on the Houkesloot in Sneek, where organisers can hold both business meetings and festive occasions. The characterful building, garden by the water and various indoor spaces offer options for a wide range of programmes. These include meetings, company parties, dinners, anniversaries and weddings. The spaces are also suitable for presentations and gatherings, with facilities such as a screen, audio equipment and internet access. Catering can be provided at the venue.

Lokaal 55 is an official wedding venue. A ceremony can take place in the garden by the water or indoors, after which guests can stay for dinner and a party. Other private celebrations and business events are also possible. The venue can be hired exclusively in part, so the programme and atmosphere can be tailored to the group.

A special feature of the offering is the fleet moored at the quay. Organisers can combine an event with a boat trip on the Frisian waterways, for example with lunch, drinks, a barbecue or a meeting on board. There are various boats and packages for groups, including a floating space for gatherings on the water. Cookery and barbecue workshops are also available in the cooking studio. For events at another location, Lokaal 55 also provides off-site catering. This gives organisers the choice of a suitable space on its own, a programme that includes boating, or a combination of venue, food and activities.
