The Black Oak Venue

The Black Oak Venue is a countryside venue in Sulphur Springs, Texas, offering event organisers a choice of indoor and outdoor settings among wooded grounds. Weddings are a central part of its offering, with spaces for ceremonies, receptions, elopements and rehearsal dinners. The venue also welcomes private celebrations, special events and business functions, including meetings.

For indoor events, the property has a banquet hall with timber features and a broad glass wall looking out towards the surrounding woodland. A covered porch and fireplace adjoin the hall, giving guests room to gather outside while remaining close to the reception space. Couples can also choose the dedicated chapel for an indoor ceremony, or use the outdoor ceremony area and elevated overlook deck for open-air vows and views across the landscape.

The venue offers a combination of rustic character and purpose-built event facilities, with options to shape the setting around the occasion. Its mix of hall, chapel, porch and outdoor areas gives planners flexibility to host different parts of a wedding or celebration in separate spaces. The property is also suited to smaller gatherings, including micro weddings and elopements, as well as larger receptions. Organisers can enquire about availability, guest capacity, venue access and event arrangements directly with the team. With its private wooded setting and range of event spaces, The Black Oak provides a dedicated location for couples, families and organisations planning gatherings in the Sulphur Springs area.
