Alta House Event Center

Alta House Event Center is a bookable venue in Newton, Iowa, for weddings, corporate gatherings and private celebrations. Its flexible spaces can be arranged for both intimate occasions and larger events, with options for ceremonies, receptions, dinners, networking events, company retreats and award ceremonies.

The venue brings several distinct settings together, including the Great Room, Emily's Patio, the BARbershop Lounge, a bridal salon and outdoor areas with a pond, parkland and other photo backdrops. Organisers can discuss layouts and design with the team, and the venue offers planning support from the first visit through to the event day. For weddings, coordinators can help manage suppliers and the schedule, as well as arrange set-up of the venue's own decorations.

Alta House includes a Borrow Closet of décor items in its event packages, giving clients a range of styling pieces to use without sourcing every item separately. The property also lists custom lighting, audiovisual facilities and Wi-Fi, and offers a 12-passenger van with a driver for guest transport. Catering is flexible: organisers may bring in their own caterer, subject to the venue's requirements.

The team offers customisable packages, with full-service planning and à la carte options, and invites prospective clients to arrange a tour and check availability. Its mix of indoor rooms, outdoor backdrops and practical planning support makes it a useful choice for couples, businesses and private hosts seeking an event venue near Des Moines.
