Arthur Boskamp-Stiftung

Breite Straße 18, 25551 Hohenlockstedt, Germany

The Arthur Boskamp Foundation combines support for contemporary art with cultural work in the local community. Its home is M.1 in Hohenlockstedt, a historic building with exhibition and work spaces, guest accommodation and a venue. Alongside its own programme, the foundation also makes parts of the building available for private celebrations: the venue can be hired, and, on request and subject to availability, it is even possible to use the entire building.
M.1 therefore offers event planners an unusual setting for celebrations in Schleswig-Holstein. The rooms are in a former military building that is now used by a non-profit cultural foundation. The building's historic character and its links with art and local cultural projects shape the venue, which is unlike an ordinary function room. You should contact the foundation directly to check whether your preferred date is available and which rooms would be suitable.
The foundation also runs various arts and cultural programmes. These include changing exhibitions and events, as well as the locally focused M.1 Lokal programme, with activities for people from Hohenlockstedt and the surrounding area. These activities give the building a lively cultural setting. For event planners looking to hold a celebration in a venue with character, the option of enquiring about the venue or, if available, the whole of M.1 is particularly appealing. Details of capacity, facilities or catering should be checked with the foundation on a case-by-case basis.
