The Jack Carter Pavilion

The Jack Carter Pavilion is a function venue in Ilford, set within the open grounds of Oakfield Playing Fields. Its rooms are available for private celebrations and business events, with options for both larger gatherings and more intimate occasions.

The modern ground-floor suite can host more than 120 seated guests and opens onto a veranda and terrace overlooking the grounds. Organisers can arrange the room to suit their event, and choose whether the full bar is open. Upstairs, a smaller suite with its own bar and outdoor balcony offers space for around 40 to 50 people.

The venue welcomes wedding receptions and pre-wedding celebrations, including Mehndi and Haldi ceremonies, as well as birthdays, engagements, family occasions, wakes and memorial gatherings. It also accommodates corporate meetings and conferences. Audio-visual equipment is available for business events, while the natural light and access to outdoor space provide a different setting from a conventional meeting room. The wider playing fields may also suit company fun days, subject to availability.

A commercial kitchen is available for organisers' chosen caterers, and the venue can also connect clients with catering partners. There is free parking for more than 100 vehicles, with Fairlop Underground station a short walk away. The pavilion's combination of two function rooms, a bar, catering facilities and outdoor surroundings gives organisers flexibility when planning events of different sizes and styles.
