The Citadel Beach Club

The Citadel Beach Club is an oceanfront venue on Isle of Palms, South Carolina, available to outside groups as well as members of The Citadel community. Its coastal setting, with views of the Atlantic, offers a backdrop for weddings, ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties and other private or corporate gatherings.

The main indoor space is a ballroom, complemented by a mezzanine, porches, a patio and a front lawn. Depending on the layout, the ballroom can accommodate up to 150 guests for a banquet, 175 in theatre seating or 200 for a cocktail-style event. A bridal suite with a private bathroom is available, and the venue provides indoor tables and chairs. The team sets the furniture according to an agreed floor plan.

For a more informal gathering, organisers can book the separate Blue & Grey Pavilion. Its facilities include picnic tables, pool tables, sports equipment, volleyball and basketball courts, showers and lockers. Parking is included with venue rentals, and groups can arrange a tour by appointment.

The venue's event team guides clients through the reservation and preparation process, including a final walk-through and coordination with the organiser's day-of contact. Couples may hold ceremonies on the grounds, with an additional rental hour and rehearsal time available subject to scheduling. Food and drink must be supplied through the venue's approved providers, and event requirements include advance planning for vendors, layouts and insurance. The combination of indoor function space and outdoor areas makes the Beach Club suitable for celebrations that can move between the ballroom, patio and lawn.
