Backstage Theatre

Backstage Theatre is a purpose-built theatre and arts centre in Farneyhoogan, close to Longford town. Its programme spans professional theatre, dance, music, comedy and family performances, alongside work by local groups and artists. The venue also supports creative development through workshops and artist residency opportunities, making it a place for both public performances and arts activity throughout the year.

For event planners, Backstage offers a theatre setting that can also accommodate conferences, meetings and workshops. The auditorium and stage provide a suitable backdrop for presentations, talks, performances and community gatherings, while the venue's wider arts-centre role makes it a natural fit for events with a cultural or creative focus. Organisers can contact the theatre to discuss the format and practical requirements of their event.

Accessibility is part of the venue's offer. The theatre provides wheelchair spaces and accessible parking, and has an assisted listening system for audience members with hearing loss. A quiet space may also be arranged on request. These provisions can help planners consider a broader range of guest needs when choosing a location.

Based in County Longford, Backstage Theatre serves the local community and audiences from across the Midlands and further afield. Its combination of a dedicated performance space, arts programming and facilities for meetings and workshops gives organisers a distinctive venue option for cultural, educational and business gatherings.
