The Silo Wedding and Event Center

The Silo Wedding and Event Center is a barn-style venue for weddings and other private celebrations just outside Meriden, Kansas. Set on around 200 acres, the property offers a rural setting with access from K-4 Highway, around 20 minutes from Topeka and 25 minutes from Lawrence. Couples and event planners can enquire about dates and arrange a tour of the venue before booking.

The main event area provides 5,400 square feet when arranged with tables, chairs and room for dancing. The event centre has 7,800 square feet in total, giving organisers space to plan a larger gathering or a more intimate occasion. The venue is promoted for wedding days as well as graduation parties, family reunions, anniversaries and other celebrations.

The barn is heated and air-conditioned, and the venue has a sound system that can be used indoors or outside. Wedding arrangements include options for single-day or full-weekend access, with different arrival times depending on the booking. The FAQ notes that couples may decorate the space, subject to restrictions on attaching items to the tin walls and ceiling. Venue staff are available before, during and after an event for assistance, while additional help with tasks such as parking, set-up or clearing away may be requested for an extra charge, subject to availability.
