ScharfrichterHaus Passau

Milchgasse 2, 94032 Passau, Germany

ScharfrichterHaus is a cultural venue and event location in Passau's old town. At its heart is a theatre with a permanent stage, presenting cabaret, music, literature and other intimate performances. The venue runs its own programme and gives artists a stage. This also includes open-air events at changing locations and the annual awarding of the Scharfrichterbeil.

The different rooms are of particular interest to event planners. The options include the theatre, a gallery beneath a stucco ceiling, a wine bar with a wine cellar, and a historic arcaded courtyard. According to the venue, the gallery is also suitable for private events. Alongside its public cultural programme, the venue can therefore provide a fitting setting for private or smaller closed events. Details of room sizes, capacities and event packages should be requested directly.

A visit to the venue also includes a restaurant serving a cuisine that features regional specialities from Lower Bavaria, Upper Austria and Bohemia. The wine bar and courtyard add further opportunities to socialise. For guests who do not wish to travel on after an event, historic apartments are also available in the building. ScharfrichterHaus thus brings together stage culture, dining and selected spaces in a central location in Passau.
