Modern Living Building

The Modern Living Building is an event venue at State Fair Park & Event Center in Yakima, Washington. Built in 1938 and updated in 2020, it offers a large, open interior for wedding receptions, quinceañeras and other private celebrations. Its high ceilings and clear floor area give organisers room to arrange the space around their event, whether they need a dance floor, dining tables or an area for presentations.

The building has 15,932 square feet of space and can accommodate up to 440 guests without a dance floor, or up to 400 when one is included. The venue hire includes tables and chairs, their set-up and removal, standard utilities and cleaning. There is also a kitchen area with a refrigerator, sink and counter space, plus complimentary internet access, adjustable lighting, temperature control, accessible facilities and complimentary parking. Organisers can ask about additional sound equipment, staging, risers and extra furniture.

Food service is provided on site by OVG360, the venue's exclusive caterer. Alternatively, private homemade food may be brought in, subject to the venue's rules. Alcohol must be purchased and served through OVG360, and events serving alcohol require security arranged in coordination with State Fair Park. One move-in day may be available at no extra cost, subject to availability.
