The BayCare Sound

The BayCare Sound is an open-air waterfront concert venue in Coachman Park, Clearwater, Florida. Its scale and dedicated performance setting make it a striking option for organisers seeking a large live-event location on the Gulf Coast. The amphitheatre has 4,000 covered seats, with space for a further 5,000 guests on the lawn, giving organisers room to plan for audiences of different sizes. The covered seating offers shelter while keeping the outdoor atmosphere, and the lawn provides an informal area for guests to enjoy performances.

The venue is primarily known for live music and ticketed performances, with a stage, backstage facilities, dressing rooms, restrooms and designated vendor areas. Its waterfront surroundings and open-air layout lend themselves to concerts and other large-scale productions where the setting is part of the audience experience. Food and drink concessions, including local food trucks, operate during events, while a two-storey lounge offers an upgraded guest experience with indoor and rooftop areas, bars and private facilities.

The BayCare Sound is operated by Ruth Eckerd Hall in partnership with the City of Clearwater. The operator notes that its venues can be rented for private and corporate events on a limited basis, subject to availability and approval. Organisers should enquire directly about the intended event, dates, capacity requirements and venue arrangements, as public performance dates do not necessarily indicate when the site can be hired. The location is in downtown Clearwater, with public parking available in the surrounding area. Its combination of substantial audience capacity, covered seating, lawn space and waterfront scenery makes it particularly suited to concerts and other productions that need an outdoor live-performance venue.
