The Carriage House at Rockwood Park

Set within the historic grounds of Rockwood Park, The Carriage House at Rockwood Park offers a distinctive setting for weddings, private celebrations and corporate gatherings in Wilmington, Delaware. The property combines a characterful historic building with English-inspired gardens, giving organisers a choice of indoor rooms and outdoor locations for ceremonies, receptions and photographs.

Wedding arrangements can include exclusive use of the venue, a choice of ceremony settings, a reception room, a bridal suite, a separate cocktail-hour area and event coordination. The venue’s 2026 wedding package describes capacity for up to 200 guests, with tables and chairs, linens, a dance floor, sound equipment, catering, bar service and event staff among the available elements. Specific inclusions and timings depend on the package selected.

The venue also welcomes occasions such as showers, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations of life, holiday parties, corporate dinners, formal meetings, retreats and outdoor company events. Its gardens and historic architecture provide a setting for both relaxed gatherings and more formal functions, while indoor spaces offer an option when an outdoor plan is unsuitable.

Food, beverage and staffing services at the property are provided by Prime Hospitality Catering, which manages the venue. Organisers can arrange a tour by appointment and discuss event requirements with the team. The location is near Wilmington and within driving distance of Philadelphia, with on-site parking available for guests. For a wedding or another event, planners can enquire about room arrangements, catering choices, availability and package details directly with the venue.
