Kleiner Goldener Saal

The Kleine Goldene Saal is a historic event venue in Augsburg city centre, rented out by the City of Augsburg for cultural events. It is particularly suitable for concerts and performances. Events such as matinees and school celebrations are also planned for. With its layout and fixed concert seating, the hall is especially suited to events with a seated audience, rather than parties with a dance floor.

The baroque room was originally the assembly hall of the Jesuit college St. Salvator. Its ceiling fresco by Matthäus Günther and the stucco work by Johann M. Feichtmayr define its distinctive historic atmosphere. At the same time, the hall is set up as a performance venue: the concert seating accommodates 320 people, and a stage and technical equipment are available. The standard facilities include hall lighting and two microphones for presenters. Changes to the seating arrangements can be made by agreement. Details of the available options and hire conditions should be checked with the City of Augsburg.

Event planners should note that the hall is a listed building. Dancing, eating and drinking in the hall are not permitted. Refreshments during breaks can be served in the foyer. Those interested can contact the Cultural Affairs Office of the City of Augsburg for information about hire prices, availability and booking. The Kleine Goldene Saal is particularly suited to concert organisers, cultural institutions, schools and organisations looking for a historic performance venue in a central location for their audiences.
