Poulaphouca House & Falls

Poulaphouca House & Falls is a private-use wedding venue set among 36 acres of gardens, woodland, farmland and lake scenery in County Wicklow. The historic country estate offers couples a choice of settings for different parts of the day, with the Garden Pavilion popular for ceremonies in warmer months and the restored Barn providing an atmospheric option for ceremonies and receptions throughout the year.

The Barn can host up to 190 guests for dinner and celebration. Other spaces include the main house, a traditional Irish pub, a terrace, the Garden Pavilion, the Tree Top Bar and the Music Room, which has its own bar for evening music and dancing. The venue is reserved exclusively for each wedding, giving couples and their guests private use of the estate.

Food is prepared by the in-house team, with wedding menus tailored to the couple and an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. Drinks receptions can make use of the terrace and outdoor grounds, while the estate's gardens and waterfall offer distinctive settings for photographs. Accommodation is available in 21 en-suite rooms spread across the main house, Hunting Lodge, Shepherd's Huts and Stable Rooms. A separate bridal preparation cabin provides space for the wedding party to get ready on the day.

The venue also considers full-site hire for selected corporate events and filming outside wedding periods. It is not available for birthday parties, anniversaries, christenings, communions or confirmations. Located in West Wicklow, the estate is around 45 minutes from Dublin, making it a countryside option for couples seeking a private celebration with accommodation on site.
