The AV Lounge

The AV Lounge is a live music and performance venue in downtown Vermillion, South Dakota. Set in a converted former cinema, it offers organisers a distinctive indoor space for private parties, public events, readings, open houses and live performances. The main room can accommodate up to 200 guests, with tiered areas at the rear and a dance floor near the stage to suit different event layouts and seating arrangements.

The venue offers basic hire for gatherings and presentations, with access to the lobby and main room, sound and lighting equipment, a microphone for speeches and an employee to operate the setup. Organisers planning a concert or stage performance can book an enhanced option that includes use of the stage, backstage green room and an additional member of staff for stage sound and lighting. Karaoke is also available with equipment and an operator provided by the venue.

Hosts can bring refreshments for their event, subject to prior discussion, and the venue can arrange sales of beer, wine and soft drinks. An open-bar arrangement may also affect the hire rate. Event timings should include time for setting up and clearing the space. The AV Lounge is a useful option for organisers seeking an intimate, performance-focused setting, whether they are putting on a show, hosting a community gathering or celebrating with friends and colleagues.
