Kitson Hall

Kitson Hall is a community venue in Barnes, south-west London, available to hire for celebrations, performances, classes and local events. Its two halls offer different options for organisers, from a large space for a wedding reception or production to a smaller room for a workshop, meeting or intimate party.

The Large Hall measures 16 by 13 metres and can accommodate up to 300 people standing or 200 seated. It has a raised stage, adjustable lighting, blackout curtains and a sound system available to hire, making it suitable for performances, live music, comedy, rehearsals and larger gatherings. The Small Hall seats up to 40 and can be divided into two areas with a sliding partition. It is suited to smaller events, classes and workshops.

Both halls have access to a shared servery equipped with a fridge, freezer, oven, hob, kettles and hot water urns. Organisers can also use the venue’s trestle tables and adult chairs, with smaller tables and chairs available for children. The servery is shared when both halls are hired separately, unless exclusive use is arranged.

The spaces are also offered for wedding receptions, children’s parties, community fairs, markets and jumble sales. Hirers can decorate the halls to suit their occasion, and the larger room’s stage and lighting provide a ready-made focus for entertainment. The Large Hall has step-free access and an accessible toilet. The Small Hall has a private entrance and access to an accessible toilet. Bookings can be requested online after checking the venue’s availability calendar, with the hall manager available for enquiries.
