The Elbow Room at Hotel Charitone

The Elbow Room is a small, bookable event space on the lower level of Hotel Charitone in Chariton, Iowa. It provides a local setting for organisers planning gatherings that need a private room, including bridal and baby showers, birthday and graduation parties, family reunions, community meetings and other occasions. Its range of uses makes it suitable for both social celebrations and informal group meetings.

The room is offered for hourly hire, giving organisers a straightforward option for events that do not require a full-day venue booking. The published availability is during daytime and evening hours, with reservations made through the venue’s contact form. Organisers can enquire directly to discuss their date and arrangements.

Set within a historic hotel building near Chariton’s town square, The Elbow Room offers an indoor location in an established local property. It is a practical choice for hosts looking for a dedicated space for a gathering in Lucas County, rather than a restaurant table or a larger event facility. Its setting can accommodate different kinds of small events, from family milestones to local meetings, depending on the organiser’s needs.

The space is managed in connection with Hotel Charitone and the Lucas County Preservation Alliance. The website directs prospective hirers to submit an enquiry to reserve the room, and provides a telephone contact for event enquiries. Organisers can use this route to check availability and confirm the arrangements for their occasion.
