Planting Fields Foundation

Planting Fields Foundation offers a distinctive historic setting for weddings and private events in Oyster Bay, New York. Set among formal gardens and the grand Main House, the estate provides a choice of indoor and outdoor locations for ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners and other private celebrations. The grounds and period interiors give organisers a range of backdrops, from garden gatherings to events in the Great Hall.

Wedding ceremonies can be held in the Cloister Garden, Blue Pool Garden, West Portico or Great Hall, with space for up to 120 guests. Receptions can accommodate up to 150 guests for a cocktail-style gathering, or up to 80 for a seated reception in the Great Hall. The venue also offers private event rentals, with weekday and weekend hire options. These spaces may suit celebrations and occasions where the character of a historic estate is central to the event.

Planting Fields provides the location rather than a complete event package. Catering, equipment hire, entertainment and other event services are not included, so organisers should plan to source these separately. Availability and pricing are handled through the Foundation’s special events team. The estate also welcomes enquiries about meetings, retreats, photography and commercial filming, subject to its rental arrangements and applicable permissions.
