The Hughe House

The Hughe House is a flexible wedding and event venue in Lake Odessa, Michigan, serving organisers who need a welcoming space for celebrations, receptions and business gatherings. Located between Grand Rapids and Lansing, the venue offers a convenient setting for weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, showers, holiday gatherings, corporate events and other private functions.

The venue provides approximately 2,400 square feet of open-plan space, allowing organisers to create different layouts for dining, dancing, presentations, socialising or formal ceremonies. The room can comfortably seat up to 175 guests and includes a 24-foot seating bar, a movable beverage bar, accessible men's and women's restrooms, high-speed fibre internet and a practical preparation kitchen. The kitchen includes a commercial refrigerator, deep freezer, sink and preparation areas for food brought in from an external caterer.

Tables and chairs are included with the venue hire, giving organisers a useful starting point for planning their floor plan. The six-acre property also provides generous parking, including accessible spaces and additional overflow parking. Wedding hire includes use of the building for an extended day, while other events can be booked for a five-hour period. Optional extras include access the day before, additional event time, on-site ceremonies, professional clean-up and next-day collection of belongings.

The Hughe House allows clients to choose their own caterer and bring their own alcohol, provided it is arranged and served by the organiser. This gives couples, companies and private hosts flexibility when building an event that suits their plans, guest list and budget.
