The Maxwell House

The Maxwell House is a distinctive historic event venue in Pasadena, offering a memorable setting for weddings, private celebrations, meetings, training days, seminars, retreats and community gatherings. Located in Pasadena’s Old Town area, this restored landmark combines period character with practical facilities for organisers planning events of different sizes and styles.

The venue can accommodate up to 100 guests and offers several adaptable spaces, including a library, dining room, living room, foyer, mezzanine, kitchen and garden patios. Organisers can hire individual rooms for smaller meetings or reserve the entire first floor for larger occasions. The spaces work well for board meetings, workshops, fundraising events, nonprofit gatherings, strategy sessions and civic forums.

Wedding and private event packages are available for ceremonies, receptions and intimate celebrations. The venue also welcomes bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties, quinceañeras and celebrations of life. Wedding bookings include access to private getting-ready suites, venue furniture, setup and breakdown, security personnel and nearby parking. Boutique wedding packages are available for more intimate gatherings of up to 60 guests.

Meeting rentals include tables and chairs, heating and air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a projector and screen, and a PA system with wireless microphone. Catering, bartending, event coordination and other specialist services are arranged through preferred suppliers, allowing organisers to build an event team suited to their plans.

The Maxwell House is operated by the Western Justice Center, a nonprofit organisation. Venue hire helps support its work with young people, educators, schools and community partners, giving events an added social purpose alongside the historic surroundings and flexible facilities.
