The Mill Site - Events on the River

The Mill Site - Events on the River is a distinctive event venue in Anoka, Minnesota, set beside the Rum River in a beautifully renovated historic building. Its riverside position, original architectural details and welcoming atmosphere create a memorable setting for weddings, receptions, corporate functions and private celebrations.

The venue provides a flexible space for wedding ceremonies and receptions, with both indoor and outdoor options available. Couples can use the riverside surroundings and nearby walking paths for photographs, while the historic interior offers character through its original beams, high ceilings and brickwork. The space can accommodate seated events of around 150 guests comfortably, with larger open-house style occasions possible for more than 200 people.

The Mill Site also welcomes corporate events, holiday parties, business meetings, vendor fairs, fundraising occasions, family reunions, celebrations of life and other special gatherings. Organisers receive access to tables and chairs, a private lockable event room, a prep kitchen for the chosen caterer, outdoor areas and river views. The venue works with preferred catering and bar suppliers, while organisers may also discuss their own event arrangements with the management team.
